I have lived in Carson City for 45 years. I was born in
Pittsburgh PA but consider Carson City my home. I
worked for the State of Nevada for 25 years and retired
in 2003. I have always been very active and conscious
of my weight. I took up running when I was 20 years old
and worked out in gyms from that point on. When I
retired I was approached by a very special friend and
Aerobic Instructor asking me if I wanted to teach
aerobics. I thought that was the perfect job for me in
my retirement. I worked with that trainer, studied and
received my Group Aerobic Instructor Certification. I
really enjoyed teaching aerobics but decided to
also obtain my Personal Training Certification. I
received that certification and mentored with another
wonderful trainer for 1 year. During that time I also
received my Pilates Reformer Instruction Certification
and Mat Pilates Instructor Certifcation.
I have been a Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor in
several locations since receiving my certifications and
have trained many wonderful individuals. I am so happy
to now have my home with 6 Week Workout. I am a
Personal Trainer, teach Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates
and Group Strength Classes .
I believe that anyone can participate in a fitness
program; and I believe everyone should. I believe your
health is the most precious part of your life. Without
your health you cannot enjoy your life. It is never too
late to get in shape. You are never too out of shape or
too old to exercise. Injuries can slow you down but
don't have to stop you from getting in shape!
I believe each person has their own special reasons for
wanting to start a exercise program and I develope a
individualized plan for them to achieve those goals. My
clients are very special to me and I take personal pride
in assuring they achieve success.

wife and I have done the gym thing several times a week,
worked out on all the nice equipment and felt pretty
good at the moment. We used to watch all the personal
trainers and wished we could do that. But they were all
geared for the 20 and 30 somethings and Carolyn and I
are in our 60's. We reached a point where our core
strength and balance were not up to par and I even
dreaded showing a two story house and having to climb
the stairs. I could barely make it.
November 2009 we decided we had to find us a personal
trainer to help us. I was asking around when a Realtor
friend of mine told me to call his wife. He said she
specialized in working with seniors. We went to meet
with Judy Bendure and started our first workout that
evening. We have a couple of one hour sessions a week
with her and we love it and look forward to each one. We
have no intention of stopping and firmly believe that
this is the cheapest and most enjoyable health insurance
we could have.

take 4 or 5 mile hikes all over the Sierras on Sunday
